More organic matter results in less rain running for, increased drought resistance, and healthier plants.

Robert brings an engineering and medical background, Cassie brings flowers, crafts, and “Making it look pretty”. Robert bought this farm over 30 years ago; it had been tenant farmed for almost 50 years the the bottom field soil that should be 4-6% organic matter was “less than 0.5%” would would hardly grow weed! Most fields now test over 4% organic matter.

Floral Hill name came from Robert living on the 7th tallest hill in FL, near Floral City with a mom who was passionate about flowers, as his herd name for Saanen dairy goats.

Floral Hill used to be a certified organic farm, but with rising costs for certification, and customers who did not care about “certified”, we dropped the certification.
